Bioluminescent Mushrooms Growing in Australia



The Richat Formation, also known as the "Eye of the Sahara", is a huge circular structure in the Sahara Desert in Mauritania. From above, it looks like a giant eye and has a diameter of about 40 km. Previously thought to be a meteorite impact crater, scientists have discovered that the "Eye of the Sahara" was formed due to erosion and uplift of rocks millions of years ago.
