A powerful gas pipeline explosion has occurred near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. At least 25 people have been injured, suffering from burns and carbon monoxide poisoning.

The explosion was caused by a fire in the Putra Heights area near the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. A column of fire rose about 500 meters in height. Authorities ordered the evacuation of nearby residential areas.
As a result of the explosion, several houses caught fire, and some people were trapped in their homes, rescuers are on their way to the scene. The victims were diagnosed with burns, they are receiving assistance.
Employees from nine fire stations are involved in extinguishing the fire.
