A woman received a note from a stranger and saved her from kidnapper (4 photos)

The incident took place at a gas station near Cedar City, Utah.





The note asking for help that the gas station customer received was written on a piece of a pizza box. According to the witness, the woman was shaking with fear because the kidnapper was waiting for her outside the door.







A gas station customer filmed a woman and a man getting into a Chevrolet Equinox. Once they pulled away, she followed the couple in her car to check the license plates and call 911. She remained on the line with dispatch until officers stopped the car about 8 miles from the station. The kidnapper turned out to be 53-year-old Mexican citizen Epigmenio Bustilmos Marquez. He was arrested.



It was later revealed that Marquez had been in a relationship with the victim for over 25 years, but had recently begun to behave aggressively. On the day of the incident, he was supposed to give his partner a ride to the hotel in Las Vegas where she worked. However, instead, he accused her of infidelity, hit her in the face and took her phone. He said that he would take her to Denver or Salt Lake City. During the arrest, he provided law enforcement officers with false documents.
