A pastor came up with a way to attract young people to the church, but he was fired for it (4 photos)
Are you missing the village atmosphere? Here's some fresh news from Germany. We understand that it's hard to get young followers in any field, and when it comes to religion, it's even more difficult.
In the small town of Gausenberg (Germany) with a population of just over 11 thousand people, 47-year-old Pastor Alexander Aulinger regularly served mass and appeared in public as a priest. The man was sociable, outgoing and sensitive to the mood of the youth.

The pastor quickly became friends with the local punks and began to convey the word of God to them at fun parties over booze. After which the youth actively flocked to the church, and the pastor in the parish became known for his ability to find an approach to people.
Lawyer Rosemary Weber somehow found out what was going on there and called on the diocese to "conduct a criminal investigation" and sort out the situation. The locals themselves did not deny that the pastor could indeed drink alcohol in the company of children.
"We are in the countryside. Look at the fire brigade or the shooting club. This happens there too," one of them noted philosophically.

Conservative Bishop Stefan Oster forbade the pastor to drink with parishioners, conduct services and generally call himself a clergyman.
