After an accident, she spent six days in a car (3 photos)

41-year-old American Brionna Cassel spent six days trapped in her car after a traffic accident. She drove off the road, so neither other drivers nor emergency services saw her. Despite her injuries, the woman survived and is now in hospital.





Cassel went to visit a friend. She fell asleep at the wheel, and the car drove into a ditch. It was so deep that it was completely invisible to passing drivers. The woman tried to call for help, but no one heard her. The search by emergency services, which Cassel's relatives called, also yielded no results.

Due to the damage to the car and the injuries she sustained, the woman was unable to get out. She had broken legs, an arm, and several ribs. Her phone was dead, so the victim could not call the police or an ambulance herself. She had no food with her, and she got water by dipping her sweatshirt in a puddle near the car and wringing it out.

A road worker eventually found her and contacted emergency services. Brionna Cassel is currently in the hospital and is slowly recovering.
