A questionable parenting method sparked controversy on social media (5 photos + 1 video)
Eyewitnesses captured the outrageous behavior of the father at the Nassfeld ski resort in the Carnic Alps, Austria. Judging by the footage, the child did not want to ski. The man did not waste time persuading him.
The father tried to force the boy to go forward, but to no avail. Then he grabbed him by the backpack, pulled him off the road and threw him into the snow. At the end of the video, the boy falls, and the father walks away.
The video quickly spread on social networks, causing controversy among parents and viewers.
"How can you publish such things? The child is being "disposed of" like a bag of garbage," wrote a viewer.
He was supported by a woman: "I am a mother myself and I know what children can be like, but this... And the way he abandons the child. This is not right."
"This is simply unacceptable and cruel. Children need the care and love of parents who understand and respect their needs. Just because dad wants to ski no matter the weather doesn't mean the child wants to too," a third person was outraged.
Another added: "Poor kid... This is terrible... I want to believe that someone not only filmed the video, but took action..."
Since the video was uploaded on Saturday morning, it has garnered more than 909,000 views and 770 comments.
Nassfeld is Carinthia's largest ski resort, offering 110 kilometers of slopes of all difficulty levels, 30 lifts and 25 cozy cabins for a comfortable stay.
