Big Exposure: Man Offered $2 Billion to Keep Silent About Aliens (3 photos)
UFOlogist Steven Greer has reported that he has received a generous offer from an influential US government official who is one of the leading experts in the study of unidentified flying objects.
Greer, who founded the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence in 1990, has made loud statements about the existence of aliens and alleged contacts with them for many years. However, among ufologists, his figure evokes mixed reactions: some consider him an authoritative expert, while others accuse him of making unsubstantiated statements without real evidence.
According to Greer, the generous offer came from a high-ranking US government official who, according to the ufologist, was one of the leading experts in the field of studying unidentified flying objects.
"This is a whole counterintelligence operation on psychological warfare, conducted by the CIA and other agencies," he said in an interview.
Greer claims that he first encountered such pressure methods back in the 1990s. In particular, he recalled how General Albert Stubblebine, who headed the Special Forces and Army Intelligence, offered him a large sum to renounce public activity.
"In May 1992, he offered me personally $2 billion if I would stop doing what I was doing. I was in my 30s, and as a young doctor, I thought, well...," the ufologist said.
However, the podcast host expressed doubt about the veracity of this story, noting that it was "pretty hard to believe." In response, Greer said that he was willing to take a lie detector test and that his wife could confirm his words.
General Stubblebine, who Greer claims was involved in the offer, died in 2017 at the age of 87, and is no longer able to comment on these claims.
