A duck that accidentally got into a prison was “detained” in the USA (3 photos)

The bird has already found a new home. They named her Bernice.





The police arrived on the scene on the morning of March 5 to catch the bird. This, however, turned out to be not so easy: the "suspect" tried to escape from the officers by flying over the fence, but the law enforcement officers managed to corner the duck.



"The detainee was unable to tell us where she was from or how she got into the facility, but we noticed that her paw was injured. We called for backup and after lengthy negotiations involving two agencies, we were able to take the suspect into custody," the post says.

The detainee was not charged. Instead, they found a new home for the duck: now the bird lives on a local farm. She was named Bernice.
