Two years on meat, eggs and dairy products. How the predator diet affected the body (6 photos)
Olivia Khwaja followed a high-fat, low-carb keto diet for several years. During this time, her weight dropped from 95 kg to 75 kg. However, in 2022, she switched to a carnivore diet (also known as a carnivore diet). The woman completely gave up vegetables and fruits and began to eat only animal products. Olivia lost weight to 55 kg, and her loved ones followed suit.
Her husband Greg lost 39 kilograms. Their children Eden and Bailey have also changed their diet.
While doctors say eating too much meat increases the risk of bowel cancer and that it is important to eat a balanced, plant-based diet to stay healthy, Olivia says the carnivorous diet has not only helped her lose weight, but also improved her skin and cleared her mind.
After just a few weeks on the carnivorous diet, she “woke up and felt euphoric.”
“I was just looking at the sky and thinking, ‘It’s so blue and so beautiful,’” she said. “It’s like I’ve been living under a cloud without realizing it, and now it’s finally lifted.”
“I’ve never pushed my kids to follow my lifestyle. They choose their own path, but I believe they’re happier for not eating foods that can be addictive.”
The woman decided to change her life after she lost her parents in 2014. Her mother suffered from type 2 diabetes, and this made Olivia think about how to avoid this disease in the future.
This is what prompted her to try the keto diet in 2020, which became a real discovery for her. In a short period of time, she lost 20 kg, and her body mass index (BMI) dropped from 38.3 to 30.3. After reading “rave reviews,” she switched to a carnivorous diet, which allowed her to reduce her BMI to 22.2, which is a healthy weight.
It was difficult at first, as the diet excludes fruits and vegetables. But now she is very happy with the results.
Olivia eats her first meal at about 4pm, usually eggs and sardines. A few hours later, she cooks a large steak with homemade mayo in beef lard. At the weekend, the family feasts on homemade jerky, bacon-wrapped sausages and chicken liver pate without bread.
She said: “I just buy eggs, normal butter and meat. When I feel hungry, I take things out of the fridge and cook something simple. It’s not complicated.”
"I've never felt so good in my life. I don't remember having so much energy when I was a kid or a teenager. It's changed my life."
