We start this morning with news from the Vatican. 
Jorge Mario Bergoglio (the pontiff's secular name) was hospitalized in Rome's Gemelli Hospital on February 14 with a diagnosis of pneumonia. Since then, the 88-year-old patient's condition has not stabilized. 
Initially, he complained of breathing difficulties, but after all the efforts of doctors, the situation worsened to a "critical" state. 
The pontiff is currently conscious in intensive care, and has received a blood transfusion to increase the level of red blood cells and platelets. This was reported by the press service of the Holy See. Doctors are making "cautious" predictions.
