Chinese presented Maybach competitor Maextro S800 with crab gait (3 photos)
Huawei, in collaboration with JAC, introduced the Maextro S800 luxury sedan, which became a real breakthrough thanks to its innovation and sophisticated design. This 5.5-meter car is equipped with three electric motors and is also available in a hybrid version with an automatic charging system. The price starts at 136 thousand dollars, clearly positioning the model in the ultra-premium segment.
One of the key technologies of the Maextro S800 is the “crab walk” function. Thanks to the fact that the rear wheels can turn in the same direction as the front ones, the car demonstrates outstanding maneuverability. The video presentation shows how this function allows the S800 to easily maneuver among competitors such as the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
The sedan’s rear wheels can turn 16 degrees — the highest in its class, surpassing the 10 degrees of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the 5 degrees of the Rolls-Royce Ghost.
Maextro is Huawei’s fourth car brand to be launched in collaboration with Chinese state-owned automakers. The company’s previous brands, Aito, Luxeed and Stelato, have already achieved success in the market. However, Maextro is positioned as the flagship line within HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Auto), embodying the latest advances in technology and comfort.
Thus, the Maextro S800 goes beyond the usual competition with other premium sedans. It is not just a car, but a demonstration of Huawei’s ambitions to create innovative and technologically advanced vehicles.
