The Chinese apologized for fake snow in a tourist "snow village" (2 photos + 1 video)
It seemed that after turning a donkey into a zebra, the Chinese would no longer be able to surprise with their fakes. But no, they learned to fake the weather too.
A Chinese village was covered with cotton wool snow instead of real snow, which is why the owners of the tourist attraction subsequently had to apologize to visitors.
The thing is that during the Lunar New Year celebrations, the "Chengdu Snow Village" in Sichuan Province usually acquired a fairy-tale look due to heavy snowfalls. But this year, something went wrong. And as the owners of the facility said, the snow "did not take the expected form." But since the management really didn't want to lose money, they tried to create a fairy-tale atmosphere with the help of soap suds and cotton wool. The snow turned out so-so, and those who like to take beautiful pictures for TikTok were unhappy. And the owners of the village will still have to lose money.
After many negative reviews and criticism on social networks about the fact that the snow at the tourist site is not what it seems, the owners of the Chengdu Snow Village began to clean up the fake precipitation and promised to return all visitors' money. In general, the illusion did not work. The Snow Village website is now closed.
"To create a 'snowy' atmosphere, our tourist village bought cotton for snow... but it did not produce the expected effect, leaving a very bad impression on the tourists who came," the management admitted.

In some places they didn't even try hard - they just scattered pieces of cotton wool. They did a better job with the roofs of houses. However, up close it doesn't really resemble snow
As reported by the media, the Chinese Meteorological Bureau warns that as a result of climate change, China will soon face hotter and longer heat waves and frequent and unpredictable downpours.
