Teacher of the Year: Women Arrested for Organizing Alcoholic Party with Over 100 Teenagers (4 photo + 1 video)
The woman and another elementary school teacher were charged days after a house party that left some students hospitalized.
Roosevelt Elementary School Assistant Principal Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan was arrested in Florida after she hosted a rowdy house party where about 100 teenagers allegedly drank alcohol.
"Some of the partygoers allegedly drank alcohol they had taken from refrigerators in the home, and one teenager was sent to the hospital after drinking too much," the report says.
Medics were forced to use extra lights on their vehicles to help the teens, while another child was arrested for drunk driving near the home, police said.
In addition to Elizabeth, another teacher, Carly Anderson, was charged.
Anderson, 45, reportedly turned herself in to authorities while intoxicated and said she was a teacher at a party.
"We are extremely concerned about these allegations and are fully cooperating with the Cocoa Beach Police Department. Our commitment to student safety remains our top priority," Brevard Public Schools said.
Both women have been placed on administrative leave.
Hill-Brodigan once won the local Teacher of the Year award and has been with the district for 23 years.
Both Hill-Brodigan and Anderson have been charged with child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The school principal was also charged with violating alcohol laws at open house parties.
