In today’s world, where technology is advancing at an incredible rate, many people are turning to artificial intelligence (AI) to improve their love lives. Today, the revolutionary development goes far beyond creating profiles on dating sites - some are ready to replace human partners with virtual companions.

Futurologist Dr. Ian Pearson, whose predictions come true with 85% accuracy, predicted that by 2050, intimate relationships with robots will become more popular than with people. However, a new study shows that this prospect may be closer than it seems: the majority of respondents are already ready to consider the possibility of intimacy with AI.

A survey conducted by the EVA AI platform showed that 8 out of 10 men believe that AI girlfriends can replace human communication. Moreover, 81% of them are ready to marry such a girlfriend if it becomes legal.

Almost 83% of study participants said they could form a deep emotional bond with an AI companion. AI can also help people cope with loss: 78% of respondents would be willing to date a clone of their ex, and 80% would be willing to communicate with an AI version of their deceased loved one.

Self-reflection was also an important aspect: 75% of men would like to create their own AI clone for communication, and the same number would like to create an “improved” copy of their partners.

"AI companions create a safe space to explore feelings, thoughts, and desires that people are hesitant to share in real life. This isn't just about technology — it's a new chapter in understanding intimacy," says Kayle Jones, head of the EVA AI community.

The topic of AI girlfriends is actively discussed on TikTok. Entrepreneur Kyle Balmer (@iamkylebalmer) told his 132,000 followers about the popularity of such technologies.

"Relationships are falling apart because of AI partners, but many find more happiness with them than with real people. It's an interesting sociological phenomenon that will become more common," he noted.

Social media users are divided in their opinions. Some consider AI companions to be ideal partners who will never betray, while others believe that this is only a temporary solution for those who are afraid of real relationships.
