Man Frightens Mourners by Opening His Eyes at His Own Funeral (3 photos + 1 video)
In the Dominican Republic, a family was bidding farewell to a deceased man when something strange happened. As they were taking photos with a flash, the man's eyes began to open. 
The photos show the man in a white robe in a coffin with a glass window. His eyes are closed, but the next moment they open when someone present takes a photo. Witnesses were confused. One family member said: "Maybe he's fighting for his life?" 
Worried relatives suggested calling an ambulance, but they were convinced that muscle memory can persist after death.
If you look closely, it becomes clear that this is just a reflection of a phone flashlight. 
However, miracles sometimes happen. For example, in 2023 in Thailand, a “dead” woman woke up on the way to a funeral. Doctors pronounced 49-year-old Chataporn Sriphonla, who suffered from liver cancer, dead while transporting her home from the hospital. The van carrying the deceased's body was headed to the Wat Sri Phadung Pattana temple, but Chataporn suddenly came to her senses.
And in 2022, in Peru, relatives carrying the coffin of 36-year-old Rosa Isabel Cespede Callaca heard a knock. They opened the coffin and found that the woman was breathing. Rosa was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was connected to a life support machine. Unfortunately, her condition could not be stabilized and she died a few hours later.
