The Fishermen Are Amazed by the Catch with Huge Lips (3 photos + 1 video)

Fishermen in Thailand were left baffled when they spotted a tilapia with "pouty" lips. The bizarre fish was caught on January 9 in Nakhon Pathom.





One of the fishermen said: "We were completely baffled because we had never seen such a fish before. We decided to release it back into the water."

The creature reminded the man of celebrities who spend huge amounts of money on cosmetic procedures to plump up their lips.

The Thai man humorously noted: “The fish was lucky – it got the enlargement for free. It didn’t even have to go to a clinic, like American celebrities do.”



Poor water quality, including elevated ammonia and nitrite levels, can stress fish. As a result, they become more susceptible to infections and various physical abnormalities, such as swollen lips.
