In France two trams collided in an epic way

The accident took place in Strasbourg, and there were casualties. According to preliminary information, at least 50 people sought medical assistance.
Strasbourg, the first major French city to restore tram service in 1994, has never had a serious tram accident, so this is literally a tragedy for them.
They abandoned trams back in the 1960s, but then changed their minds.
According to eyewitnesses, one of the trams was moving in reverse and crashed into another tram on the same tracks at full speed. The preliminary cause of the accident is an error in switching tracks.
The head of the fire and rescue service of the Bas-Rhin department, René Silier, said that by a lucky chance there were no serious casualties. The injuries are not life-threatening. About half were hospitalized. At the time of the accident, there were more than 150 people on the trams.
