The woman fell victim to a criminal scam and transferred almost all of her savings to them - four million baht (US$118,000). 
The scammers tricked the 25-year-old model by posing as cyber police officers and claiming that a bank account had been opened in her name to conduct financial transactions. To protect her funds from the "scammers", the interlocutors advised the woman to transfer the entire amount to them to avoid risks.
As the investigation found out, Charlotte decided to give her money after a 24-hour conversation with the imaginary "law enforcement officers" via video link. At the same time, the real cyber police learned about what happened to Austin from the news. They ask the woman to provide them with information about the accounts and phone numbers of the scammers. The "beauty queen" herself has not yet commented on this incident.
Police Lieutenant General Trirong Phiwpan, acting head of the Cyber Crime Bureau, announced the start of an investigation.
