An unusual incident occurred in the village of Pautiyakurd, Uttar Pradesh. In November, a large crocodile settled in a pond near the village. Since attacks by these predators are not uncommon in India, local residents began to be afraid to approach the water. They notified the Forest Department about the incident. Crocodile handlers arrived at the scene. They watched the reptile for three weeks before they were able to trap the crocodile and pull it out of the pond. Local residents helped them.

As soon as the predator was caught and immobilized, they decided to release it into its natural habitat. One of the employees of the Forest Department put it on his shoulders and carried it to the Yamuna River. This moment was captured on camera and began to spread across the Internet. The predator was released on the river bank and allowed to swim away.
