Monkeys attacked a man with a child and stole a stroller
Since the primates have completely lost their fear, security guards have to patrol the establishment with water pistols, and shop owners use large iron nets to protect their customers and goods.
A troop of hungry monkeys attacked a man and his child who were walking around the Shushan Zoo in Taiwan. The primates stole and overturned the stroller, trying to find something edible there. The incident was captured on video and became a topic of discussion on social networks.
In the footage published online, you can see how the father is pushing the stroller, holding the baby in his arms, when the monkeys run up to him. Panicking, the man begins to retreat, grabbing the cart with one hand, which is snatched a moment later by another primate, causing him to lose his balance and fall to the ground with the baby. The screams of the mother, filming the video, can be heard off-screen.
Eventually, the short footage ends with the animals running away with an item that fell out of one of the bags attached to the cart.
The man quickly stood up, and his son, clearly upset and frightened by the incident, continued to cry. Another video, filmed after the attack, shows the pack starting to fight over the trophies they had obtained.
By the way, the Shushan Zoo administration asks visitors not to hang bags on baby strollers for safety reasons. Since the primates have lost their fear, the guards of the facility have to patrol with water pistols, and the shop owners who operate on the premises use large iron nets to protect their customers and goods.
Zoo director Zhuang Yanzhi later commented on this unfortunate incident.
"We ask parents not to hang bags of food on the back of baby strollers. If people ignore the verbal warning, we will collect relevant evidence and punish them according to the law," he said in a statement.
