British company Essity has printed job postings on toilet paper to "reach out" to potential candidates. Rolls with QR codes have already been spotted in toilets at the University of Nottingham, where highly qualified engineers are trained.

The company's recruiters conducted a study yesterday, interviewing 1,000 students. It turns out that 31% of young professionals say their future employment prospects are "amazing", but 21% have no idea where to start their career after graduating. Another 31% of respondents are afraid of competition, as they believe they have no chance of finding a decent job.



Gareth Lucy, a spokesman for toilet paper company Cushelle and Velvet, says: "We are committed to creating a pipeline of talented people who have the potential to become future leaders for our company. As a toilet paper company, it seemed like an obvious way to get our message out."

He says the process of finding a job for graduates can be challenging, so they decided to make it as simple as possible. Anyone interested can scan the QR code on the roll and instantly be taken to the website, where they can fill out a form and submit their CV.





"Research has shown what young people want in an employer. Our aim is not only to attract the best university graduates, but also to be a great place to work that they can be proud of," says Gareth Lucey.
