Bear's fiery dances near a tree

Near the American city of Hereford, located in the state of Texas, a camera managed to capture the dancing skills of a bear, which made him an Internet star.

In the first seconds of the video, you can see how an adult bear is looking for the right tree for his own needs. Approaching one of the trunks, the four-legged one begins to actively scratch himself against it. However, after a few seconds, he realizes that it is not suitable for him, and continues searching.

After a few moments, the camera attracts his attention, and he looks into the lens with interest. Then, in the footage, you can see that the four-legged one still manages to find "that very tree": he spins back on his hind legs, clasps the trunk with his front paw and begins to demonstrate his "skills" as a dancer. After a few seconds, the four-legged one was able to scratch his back and disappears from the frame.

Biologists say that such a "dance" of the bear is natural: in this way, the four-legged one is actively trying to overcome the itch or marks his territory from rivals. Less often, thanks to such a tank, the bear is having fun or trying to clean its fur coat from dirt.

Most likely, this bear belongs to the "baribal" species, known as the black or American bear. These mammals reach a height of almost a human (from 150 to 180 cm), live in the wild for up to 30 years and can weigh up to almost 200 kg.
