36-year-old Ryuta Watanabe from Japan, who wants to become a "god of marriage", has four wives and two girlfriends and is the father of 10 children.
The man aims to have 54 children. A resident of the Japanese island of Hokkaido, who has been avoiding work for ten years, relies solely on the money that women bring him.
The publication notes that since polygamy is illegal in the country, Watanabe cannot marry more than one person at a time. Instead, Watanabe's "wives" are recognized in the eyes of the law as partners based on long-term cohabitation. Watanabe has already fathered 10 children and lives with two of them, as well as his three "wives."
While his partners earn money, Watanabe cooks, does housework, and takes care of the children. His "wives" share a monthly expense of 914,000 yen.
Watanabe has a fourth wife, but she has become estranged. He began dating multiple women on dating apps after his girlfriend dumped him six years ago and he began living on welfare.
"I just love women. As long as we love each other equally, there won't be any problems," he said in an interview with the TV show Abema Prime earlier this year.
Watanabe says he sleeps with a different "wife" every night. He also boasts that he has sex more than 28 times a week and that his partners don't get jealous. The man said his goal is to break the country's record for the most children born, becoming the so-called "god of marriage."
"I want to have 54 children so that my name can go down in history. I am still looking for new wives," he added.
