A woman made an almost 4-meter skeleton covered with mirror mosaic
She spent $800 to create this “art object” ahead of Halloween.
Ali Spagnola, 39, from Los Angeles decided to make her home stand out from the neighbors’ Halloween decorations by creating a nearly 13-foot skeleton covered in hand-painted mirror mosaics reminiscent of a disco ball. She spent about $800 and more than 70 hours of work to create this unusual art object.
Ali posted the video on TikTok and gained 6 million views. Some Internet users expressed concerns about the possible fire hazard — they suggest that reflective surfaces can focus the sun’s rays and cause fires. However, the woman assures that her creation is safe, citing the fact that the mirror tiles scatter light rather than concentrate it.
Spagnola’s neighbors support her creative idea, despite the fact that the huge skeleton rises above the fence and looks into the neighbors’ properties. Ali has suggested residents take selfies with the skeleton, calling them "skelfies," and plans to keep Steve until the new year.
