Everyone has taken a selfie at least once in their life, and people will do anything to make it as mind-blowing as possible. Some even sacrifice their lives for the sake of a successful shot. Artist Stephanie Lee Rose decided to declare war on selfies, and documented her travels in a funny way. Take a look!
1. In the fountain of Corsica
The artist's photographs are a moment in time. No preparation. Stephanie does not prepare anything and does not use props, the ideas for the photographs are as real as possible. That is why Stephanie's image is the opposite of a selfie. Selfies are taken in controlled conditions, with specific lighting, makeup, a specific program, and focus on individuality - they are staged and manipulated images, distorted to achieve the desired result. Stephanie's photos are the complete opposite:
2. At the Brunate Lighthouse
"When I posted some of these interesting photos, I got an incredible response from both friends and strangers. It's all about the ridiculousness of the poses or the reactions of passersby," Stephanie said. "They wrote that it brought them joy, brightened their day, and gave them some much-needed laughter. I realized that I wanted to continue to bring something positive into the world, while using art to express my feelings and thoughts about our impermanence on this earth. Stephanie's official tagline is "leave a mark."
