A woman brought to the show a painting that had been passed down in her family from generation to generation: at one time, about 70 years ago, her great-grandfather gave this work of art to his beloved wife.

The art expert asked the participant of the show if she knew anything about the artist, whose painting depicted Native Americans on a mountain trip. She replied that he was supposedly born in France and had good connections with the Sioux tribe.



Gilferty clarified that the artist's name was Henri Francois Farny. He moved to Pennsylvania from France at the age of six. Intrigued by American history and culture, he somehow managed to establish a relationship with the indigenous tribe.

"If we were to auction this painting today, we would put the price at $200,000 to $300,000," Meredith said.

The owner of the masterpiece burst into tears before joking, "I can't hang this in my house!"
