BMW presented a special version of the X5 crossover for the 25th anniversary (8 photos)
The Edition 25 Jahre anniversary trim will be released in a limited edition of 250 units. The price of the new model starts from 75.3 thousand US dollars, and deliveries will begin in October.
The anniversary BMW X5 is based on the xDrive40i model and features unique exterior trim that combines elements of the M Sport and xLine packages. The car is available in two colors: dark green Oxford Green II and dark blue Le Mans Blue, which are reminiscent of the original shades of the X5 E53 from 1999. The special edition also received 21-inch wheels in the style of the late 1990s and extended equipment.
The exterior elements of the car include anti-chrome on the window trim, gills, roof rails and radiator grille, as well as aluminum accents on the bumpers and sills. Orbit Gray wheels with Y-shaped spokes are reminiscent of the first BMW crossover models.
The interior of the car is designed depending on the chosen body color, and the technical modifications include the xOffroad package, which expands the driving modes on the off-road. Additional features include air suspension, rear differential lock, underbody protection and a "transparent" hood function.
For comparison, a similar anniversary version for the North American market, released in a circulation of 1000 copies, cost 81,075 US dollars. In Canada, the price of the new limited edition will start from 102,500 Canadian dollars (75.3 thousand US dollars).
