The lovemaking of an American couple in the backseat of a Range Rover almost ended in tragedy. The SUV drove into a river in Philadelphia (USA) in the middle of the night.
Police officers report that the lovers were likely making love in the car near the Schuylkill River around 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28. Someone accidentally pushed the gearshift lever, causing the vehicle to move toward the body of water before flipping over and sinking near the Strawberry Mansion Bridge.
The driver and passenger, whose names have not been released, jumped out of the 2020 Range Rover before it sank. Rescuers pulled the car out of the river around 9 a.m. According to preliminary information, no charges have been filed against the persons involved in this story.
Incidentally, this incident occurred just a few weeks after another car drove into the Schuylkill River. A witness who was fishing nearby said the sedan was driving along the road near the river when it suddenly began to brake and plunged into the water in reverse.
When rescuers arrived at the scene, there was no one inside the car, despite the fact that all four doors were locked. The police are currently investigating the incident.
