A trailer for the new part of the Heroes of Might and Magic game series has appeared online. They promise six factions, a non-linear campaign, and random events.
Ubisoft and Unfrozen announced the turn-based strategy Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era. The developers presented the debut trailer, which also showed gameplay footage.
Game details
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will include a traditional turn-based system and additional role-playing mechanics that were not in previous games. Thus, players will be able to pass laws - they will affect the development of kingdoms.
In terms of gameplay, Olden Era will remain true to the previous games, but it will have additional mechanics, for example, active abilities for creatures and heroes.
There will be six factions in the game, each with its own unique gameplay style. The action of the strategy will unfold in Enroth, on the continent of Jadame. It was mentioned in previous games, but players never visited it.
In Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, rival factions on Jadame must confront the Hive, a swarm of insectoids that seeks to conquer the world.
Players will be able to play solo, as well as in co-op and multiplayer modes. The game will feature a non-linear story campaign.
The developers are implementing three main multiplayer modes in Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era: classic, with one hero, and arena — with draft. Each of them will have a separate rating system and leaderboard.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is being developed by Team Unfrozen, a studio known for the turn-based tactical RPG Iratus: Lord of the Dead.
