Family vacation ruined by a drunk woman in her husband's bed (4 photos)

Family holidays can go wrong for a variety of reasons, but the Austin family certainly deserved to be in the news after an incident on the East Sussex coast. The reason was a woman who ended up in the patriarch’s bed – drunk, naked and a complete stranger.





The bizarre incident occurred during a family holiday to a well-known British resort. John Austin, his mother and son booked a four-night stay in a “club” room with half-board on the East Sussex coast in Camber Sands, writes the Daily Star.

However, their pleasure was short-lived when an unexpected situation occurred in their apartment, which was described as a "1950s communal apartment." John discovered a woman in his bed with no clear explanation as to how she got there.



As he told it, John returned to the room after dinner at about 8:30 p.m., ready for a restful night's sleep. But when he stepped inside, he noticed something unusual - movement under the covers of John's bed. The picture was complicated by scattered clothes, including sneakers near the door, sandals inside, and even a pair of other shoes nearby.

To John's surprise, a woman's head emerged from under the covers. At first he thought he might have entered the wrong room by mistake, but a quick check confirmed that it was indeed their room. John carefully approached the woman and quietly informed her that she was in their room.





The intruder simply continued to sleep, so John tried to wake her again. When she finally woke up, it was obvious that she was intoxicated.

She claimed to have entered the house with her key, but after some confusion, they realized that her actual residence was at the opposite end of the park. Somehow she found herself in a room identical in layout but in a different block. She gathered her things, apologized vaguely, and left.

Later, John wondered how she had gotten into the room. Despite security's assurances that each key was unique, he was in disbelief. Then his son noticed that one of the windows in the main room was slightly open and damaged, allowing it to be opened completely from the outside.



This seemed the most likely method of entry, as her sneakers were found outside that window, and her other shoes were inside, near it. After alerting security, the window was eventually closed, although no formal apology or goodwill gesture was offered for the inconvenience.

John attempted to file a complaint at the park, but the manager was unavailable. He later wrote to the company, who responded by highlighting their commitment to customer service and stating that they could not provide further assistance without proof of a complaint made while at the park.
