Guard Intelligence fighters blew up Russian ammunition depot in Voronezh region
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed an attack on a large ammunition depot near the city of Ostrogozhsk in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
"On August 24, 2024, soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine successfully attacked a field ammunition depot located near the settlement of Ostrogozhsk in the Voronezh region of Russia," the report says.
As noted, the depot belonged to the "West" group of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian intelligence officers said that the Russians stored their artillery and tank shells, small arms cartridges and surface-to-air missiles at the depot. In total, there were more than 5 thousand tons of ammunition there.
