A man who called on Russian men not to flee Kursk turned out to be the owner of a funeral home
A businessman from St. Petersburg who makes money from funerals of those killed in the war demands that Russian men stop fleeing the Kursk region.
On Sunday, a video was published on social networks in which an alleged Russian soldier criticizes male residents of Kursk who are fleeing from under fire. Journalists have established the identity of the "soldier". He turned out to be the director of a granite workshop from St. Petersburg, which makes monuments for gravestones and helps bury fallen soldiers.
According to the "Agency" analysis, the person in the video is 39-year-old St. Petersburg resident Kirill Suvorov (Vlasikov until 2020). The website of Suvorov's workshop states that in addition to making monuments and gravestones, the company also offers cremation, burial and delivery services for "cargo 200". The workshop promises to help relatives of fallen Russian soldiers with the preparation of papers, accompanying the deceased and purchasing tickets for any type of transport.
Journalists got through to Suvorov. He repeated that he considers it wrong for male residents of Kursk Oblast to leave the combat zone. He himself admitted that he now only goes to the "SVO" with humanitarian aid. When asked whether he himself plans to go to war, Suvorov refused to answer.
