A passenger plane has crashed in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo. According to local media, the plane crashed in a rural area in the municipality of Vinhedo and damaged several houses, but there is no information yet about casualties on the ground.
According to preliminary information, a medium-haul turboprop aircraft ATR 72, belonging to the local airline Linhas Aereas, crashed. The plane was flying a domestic flight from Cascavel to Guarulhos. There were 58 passengers and 4 crew members on board. There are no reports of casualties yet. In Vinhedo and the neighboring city of Valinhos, hospitals are preparing to receive victims. The cause of the crash is still unknown.
