At Heritage Auctions, Princess Leia's gold bikini from Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi was sold for $175,000.
The set includes a low-cut bra, a long skirt, thigh rings, and bracelets. The heroine of the film wore this swimsuit while imprisoned by the crime lord Jabba the Hutt.
The costume was designed by American artist Aggie Gerard Rogers. It consists of several items: a bikini in the form of a bra with a deep neckline and a loincloth, a long skirt with side cutouts, two gold bracelets, one of which is in the shape of a snake, and a gold collar with a chain. It was initially valued at $30,000.
Also at the auction, which took place on July 25 and 26, a miniature replica of the Y-wing ship that helped young Luke Skywalker destroy the Death Star in the film Star Wars. Episode IV: A New Hope, for $1.55 million. The price for the lot started at $300 thousand.
The final poster of the film "Blade Runner" (1982) was sold at auction for $106.25 thousand, Thor's hammer from the film "Thor 2: The Dark World" - for $81.25 thousand, and the helmet of the main character of "The Mandalorian" - for $40 thousand.
