Raccoons damaged a Tesla Cybertruck, confusing it with a trash can (3 photos)

In the US, raccoons mistake the Tesla Cybertruck for a trash can and damage its body when trying to get inside. The animals scratch the protective elements of the upper part of the trunk with their paws, tear off the protective plastic pads and rubber seals.





The owner of a Tesla Cybertruck said that during a camping trip in Minnesota, a horde of raccoons pounced on the lid of his trunk, leaving damage and dirty paw prints on it. Inside the trunk was a bag of unopened chips in a closed storage box and some coffee. Judging by the photo of the campsite, there were other cars nearby, but the owner of the cyber pickup did not say anything about the raccoons trying to get into them. According to the victim, a pack of raccoons once looked like the roof of his Cybertruck's trunk. The animals tried to open the trunk, thinking that it was a trash can door. However, no one denies the similarity of the futuristic electric car with a trash can. Thanks to their small paws and claws, the raccoons managed to create part of the plastic pads and rubber seals on the trunk door.



Experts advise not to leave such an electric car unattended in remote places and even in the suburbs, since wild animals look for food in garbage containers at night and can mistake the Cybertruck for such a thing too. Tesla Cybertruck drivers are also advised to leave offerings for animals (raccoons and others) near the car so that they eat it and go away without damaging the cyber pickup.

Raccoons are very common in the United States and often enter household boundaries at night in search of food.
