Tesla has banned the sale of Cybertruck during the first year of ownership (1 photo)

15 November 2023

Tesla has come up with an interesting way to deal with speculators and resellers of its electric Cybertruck pickup truck, deliveries of which should begin on November 25.

In the order agreement, the company stipulated that new owners of the pickup truck would not be able to sell it for the first year from the delivery date. The only exceptions can be those cases when car owners can justify the reason for sales in writing and receive written permission from Tesla. In addition, they must give the company enough time to buy the Cybertruck itself.

If owners do choose to sell the electric pickup, Tesla will require compensation of $50,000 or resale value, whichever is greater.

Cybertruck owners essentially have no right to dispose of their property during the first year of ownership and sell the electric pickup at their own discretion.
