Jeep has unveiled the Wagoneer S, the brand’s first global electric model. The car will go on sale in its homeland in the fall of 2024 and at first will be available only in the rich Launch Edition configuration with two engines and many options. Prices for the fastest production Jeep in history start at $71,995.





Dimensions of Jeep Wagoneer S - 4886x2123x1645 mm. The crossover is vaguely reminiscent of the petrol Wagoneers, but the new product is distinguished by a new approach to design. The corporate style had to be adapted to a fundamentally new power plant in order to ensure an acceptable drag coefficient. Along the way, the Wagoneer S was equipped, for example, with new optics, highlighted by a “radiator grille” and a large spoiler.

The Jeep Wagoneer S will receive two electric motors with an output of 600 hp. With. and 837 Nm and weighing 2570 kg will be able to accelerate to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds - 0.1 second faster than the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, previously considered the most dynamic production model. The maximum speed will be 200 km/h. The approximate range provided by the 100-kilowatt battery will exceed 480 km. It will take 23 minutes to charge the battery from 20 to 80%.

Jeep does not specify any off-road characteristics of the electric car, but emphasizes that the power electronics have several operating modes for different road scenarios and, when driving evenly, can even turn off the front motor to save electricity.

The luxurious interior of the Wagoneer S can be considered the most digital of modern Jeeps. The car was equipped with a media system with four screens at once: in addition to the two traditional ones in the center and in front of the driver, there is a passenger display and a separate touchscreen for climate settings. The Launch Edition package will also include 19 McIntosh speakers with a subwoofer, a heated and ventilated rear bench, panoramic windows and 20-inch wheels. The interior will be decorated only with synthetic fabrics obtained by processing recycled materials. For the same reason - to emphasize the environmental friendliness of the new product - chrome is not used in the exterior trim of the Wagoneer S.

By the end of 2024, Jeep expects to launch the Wagoneer S in the US and Canadian markets, after which it will begin its global expansion of the electric car. Strictly speaking, the brand already has a battery model - this is a much more compact Avenger SUV, but it is sold only in European countries. The habitat of the new crossover should be much wider.
