An American blogger paid a girl $20 to jump into a lake and then ignored her requests for help.

US streamer Natalie Reynolds is accused of coaxing a stranger who said she couldn't swim into a Texas lake and then running away as the woman tried to swim out and call for help.

The girl broadcast live at Lady Bird Lake in Austin. Natalie told the woman to just jump. However, she was surprised after she actually threw herself into the water head first.

“You said it was okay... you told me to jump,” the stranger told Reynolds.

However, the streamer began to say that she did not ask for anything. She laughed at the situation and reproached her friends, who told her that she had indeed provoked the stranger. However, the fun quickly ends. Natalie ran from the scene as the woman screamed that she was having trouble getting out of the water.

“I can’t swim,” the stranger’s voice was heard off-screen.

Reynolds begins to get nervous, and her friends warn her that the situation is really bad.

"Stop it, seriously, you're scaring me. I don't know what to do. She says she's drowning," Reynolds said.

The video, which has gone viral online, ends with Reynolds and her group leaving the scene as a fire truck arrives to meet them.

While many details of the incident remain unclear, the Austin Fire Department confirmed that firefighters were called to Lady Bird Lake to provide medical assistance and that the injured person was pulled from the water. The woman’s condition was not known, nor was it known what medical care she needed.

Previously, Reynolds allegedly offered the woman $20 to jump into the water and retrieve an item as part of a scavenger hunt event the streamer said she was participating in.

The streamer justified her actions in a subsequent stream, saying that she left on the instructions of her team and that it was the woman who first approached her and dared to jump into the water. She also brushed off the criticism, saying the incident would be forgotten in a week. However, many social media users suggested that Reynolds should be arrested for such an act.
