Nicki Minaj was fined at Amsterdam airport for transporting drugs (3 photos + 2 videos)
In Holland, as in any self-respecting restaurant, you can’t bring your own.
American rapper Nicki Minaj was detained at Amsterdam airport; drugs were found in her luggage. According to the press officer, it was “less than 100 grams, but enough to issue a fine.”
The rapper performed at a show in Amsterdam this week. After graduation, she was scheduled to fly to Manchester by private jet from Schiphol Ost Airport. But at the airport, Niki and her team were detained; the fact is that soft drugs were found in the American’s luggage.
Footage of the live broadcast that the artist conducted on Instagram shows her arguing with a police officer. In the video, Minaj says she does not have any drugs on her. To which the officer tells her that it was not a question, but a statement.
"They tried to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bags before I could see them. They put them on the plane. Now they say they're waiting for customs. This is what it looks like when people get paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after how everything else failed. Everything they did was illegal,” the singer wrote on Instagram.
"Now they said they found weed and that another group of people should come here to weigh in. Keep in mind, they took my bags without consent!"
Minaj is currently on her Pink Friday 2 world tour. She was scheduled to show on Saturday night in Manchester, England, but it was canceled due to a police arrest.
Amsterdam authorities confirmed via X on Saturday afternoon that the rapper was indeed detained “on suspicion of exporting soft drugs” and was given a fine of 350 euros and released.
