Wallet from the Ottoman Empire

Wallets from the Ottoman Empire were usually made of leather, metal or wood. They were often decorated with designs such as arabesques, calligraphy and floral designs.

Wallets typically had one or more compartments for storing coins, bills, and other valuable items.

Some wallets also had special compartments for storing tobacco, snuff boxes or other items.
