“Definitely not a cat”: a woman accidentally found out that she lived in the same room with a wild animal (3 photos)
Returning home from the post office, the woman came across a “small and dark” animal hiding behind the table in the living room.
A user of the social platform Reddit on one of the thematic forums Casual UK told an amazing story about how she accidentally found a wild animal in her home that was completely different from her ginger cat.
According to the author of the post, this happened when she went to the post office to pick up a parcel. Returning home, the woman came across a little fox hiding behind the table in the living room.
“A little fox just entered my house and settled under the table. I accidentally noticed that something small and dark, definitely not my red cat, was hanging around in the living room. I still can’t understand how it got there, but they already called for help from Wildlife Rescue. How's your Monday going? - wrote the user, who even came up with a nickname for the uninvited guest - Leroy.
Reddit users bombarded the author of the post with comments and expressed their admiration for the tiny fox.
"He's so cute. I wish him all the best and hope this little guy finds friends at a wildlife sanctuary or returns happily to the wild!";
"It's so tiny and scared! Poor thing. I hope they find a new mother for it and it can live in the wild";
"Funny cat! Seriously, he's amazing. I hope he has a wonderful life in the wild when he grows up."
The next day, the owner of the house told about the fate of her new friend.
“The Wildlife Rescue Service took Leroy. As it turned out, he was only a couple of weeks old. Most likely, the fox cub was abandoned by his mother. He ran into my house because he was tempted by the cat food that was standing nearby at the entrance. Many thanks to the rescuers for their help,” wrote the author of the post on Reddit
