Marine anti-aircraft gunners shot down a Russian SuperСam reconnaissance drone
Anti-aircraft gunners of the Marine Corps of the Naval Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a SuperСam reconnaissance drone. The UAV was landed using the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system. The Defense Forces of southern Ukraine reported this in a telegram, Censor.NET reports.
An enemy drone flew over the positions of the Ukrainian military, recording the necessary information. The occupiers can use the data obtained for further attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure.
Thanks to timely coordinates and an accurate hit, the anti-aircraft gunners destroyed the Russian reconnaissance drone. The downed UAV turned out to be Supercam.
Russian terrorists use such drones for aerial photography of the area, surveillance, reconnaissance and dropping weapons. In addition, Supercam UAVs can be equipped with encrypted data transmission channels and increased resistance to interference.
