Hundreds of penguins made their first jump into the water from a huge glacier
Incredible footage was captured by a National Geographic film crew while working on a glacier in Antarctica: about 700 emperor penguin chicks on the edge of an icy cliff. The cubs are about six months old, at which age they usually learn to swim.
Moreover, during the first jump, which scientists previously witnessed, they enter the water from a safe height - no more than a meter.
But new footage refuted established ideas. The chicks set off on their first voyage, jumping from a height of about 15 meters.
What if all your friends jump off a glacier, will you jump too?
