The decomposed body of an unidentified animal was found on Teluk Melano Beach in Lundu, Malaysia. The bloated carcass was noticed by coast guards who were inspecting the beach.
The local disaster management agency, Sarawak Civil Defense Force (APM), reported the strange discovery on social media, sparking a flurry of theories about what it could be.

These hard-to-identify globsters often turn out to be the carcasses of whales, sharks or octopuses.
A DNA test will help determine exactly whose remains these are.
According to local newspaper New Sarawak Tribune, spectators flocked to the scene to see the monster for themselves as stranded marine mammals are rare in the area.
Similar cases have occurred before, in other places around the world.
