How do Brazilian truckers protect themselves from robbers? (7 photos + 1 video)
It’s good that there are no robbers on our roads who can open the body of a truck while it’s moving, taking advantage of the blind spot behind the truck. Not like in distant Brazil! They say that there were so many robbers there that drivers began to modify the suspension of their cars in a special way, raising the rear part of the body as much as possible. Sometimes by 2-2.5 meters!

This appearance of the trucks was called “Brazilian style”. Many workshops across the country offer similar tuning.
The rear of the trucks is raised either with the help of a special set of rear springs:

Or by installing a special frame-frame structure, called a lameiro, above the rear axle.

Fans of the Brazilian style claim that after modification, the truck becomes more stable and can carry more cargo.

Although, for me personally, such arguments raise serious doubts. After all, the center of gravity of the car rises higher, which means there can be no talk of any increase in stability. Quite the opposite!

Another thing is that it really becomes much more difficult for robbers on the roads to get to valuable cargo in the back.
However, the process of loading and unloading with Brazilian-style trucks also becomes more complicated.

Well? What do you think of Brazilian burglar-proof trucks? Did you like it?
They say that it is better to see once than to hear a hundred times; that it is better to see one video than a hundred photographs. That's why I attached a short video at the end:
