Infiniti introduced the third generation of its flagship QX80 SUV (24 photos)
Visually, the new three-row QX80 is made in the style of the QX80 Monograph concept, shown to the public in the summer of 2023. Moreover, there are not so many global differences between a show car and a commercial vehicle. 
Inside, attention is drawn to the massive tablet on the front panel, which combines two 14.3-inch screens under one glass. It is noted that the model’s media system is built around Google services. Moreover, both displays can display a panoramic image from the front cameras. This, according to engineers, will greatly help when parking or maneuvering in tight spaces. Car cameras, including the interior cameras, by the way, can also be used for filming. The car is equipped with a special Journey Diary function, which automatically takes photos or records videos on the road and can post them on social networks.
The third screen is designed to control the microclimate, as well as heating, heating and ventilation of seats. The company promises special touchscreen feedback settings that will make interaction with it more pleasant, but details have not yet been disclosed. The QX80's climate control system is also capable of automatically adjusting individual settings for each passenger. There are special infrared sensors built into the ceiling that determine how comfortable the temperature is for the rider.
Among the equipment features, it is worth noting a Klipsch audio system with 24 speakers, massage seats in the second row, which Infiniti has never had, an extensive set of driver-assist electronics, an optional projection screen and the absence of a traditional automatic selector. Its functions are performed by buttons on the center console.
The Infiniti QX80 is based on a redesigned chassis frame that provides significantly greater rigidity (+25%). The model has an adaptive suspension with air springs. It can lower the car by 71 mm for easier entry and raise it by 61 mm to overcome off-road conditions.
Under the hood is now not a 5.6-liter V8, but a turbocharged V6. The engine capacity is 3.5 liters, and its power is 456 horsepower and 598 Nm of torque, that is, the increase in traction is 139 Nm. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and an optional all-wheel drive system.
It is known that the Infiniti QX80 will go on sale in the US in the summer of 2024. Prices for the new product start at $84,445 for the rear-wheel drive version and go up to $112,590 for the top-end all-wheel drive version with the Autograph prefix in the name.
