Brabus is preparing to release a new 190-horsepower motorcycle (11 photos)
Brabus, in collaboration with KTM, presented its first motorcycle, the Brabus 1300 R, at the beginning of 2022. The result was so successful that the tuning studio and the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer decided not to stop there and are already preparing to release a new model, the Brabus 1400 R.
It is logical to assume that if the previous project with the index 1300 R was built on the basis of the KTM 1290 Super Duke R, then the basis for the next one will be the newest 1390 Super Duke R, presented at the end of 2023.
The flagship of the KTM street line retains the same frame, received a more radical and angular appearance, an upgraded semi-active WP SAT suspension (only in the Evo version), as well as a bunch of additional auxiliary electronics, including the advanced Factory Start launch control, which lowers the bike before the start in the manner of prototypes MotoGP. However, the most significant change in 1390 was the engine. Its volume increased by 49 cubic meters and reached 1350 cubic meters. cm, and the power is now 190 forces and 145 Nm of torque with a curb weight of 211.8 kg.
When exactly the Brabus 1400 R will see the light of day, one can only guess, but according to patents found in the European Union database, three names are mentioned. In addition to the regular 1400 R, a Brabus 1400 R Signature and a Brabus 1400 R Tailor Made are planned. The latter clearly hints at a more exclusive version of the bike, manufactured in accordance with the wishes of the client.
