An animal that few people know about is the Cape Strider

This is an unusual rodent that resembles a hybrid of a kangaroo, a hare and a chipmunk.

The animal lives in Australia. The interesting thing is that the long-legged one feels great underground. Its tiny front legs are equipped with sharp claws for digging, while its hind legs are long, bouncy and padded like hooves. Also, the auricle is covered with partitions that prevent sand from entering.

Under the ground, the animal finds food for itself in the form of insects and roots, and builds a nest for the night. Longlegs always settle in colonies, building many underground passages, thus capturing vast territories. They often seize huge areas of crops, for which local farmers do not favor them.
