A real special operation was organized to search for her.
There is a local emergency in Fukuyama, Japan - a cat fell into a vat of a dangerous chemical and then ran away. It started when workers from Nomura Plating Fukuyama Factory came to work and found cat tracks near a vat of hexavalent chromium.
When they checked the CCTV cameras, they really saw a furry troublemaker. Last evening, she waited until all the employees had left, made her way to the vat and began to examine it. One of the workers did not close the lid and the cat fell into the chrome.
Hexavalent chromium is a highly acidic carcinogen. If it gets on the skin, it can cause irritation, and in the lungs it can cause breathing problems.
The first thing it affects is the bronchopulmonary system, causing eczema to lung cancer. If hexavalent chromium gets into drinking water or water that is consumed without purification, the effect is on the gastrointestinal tract. There is a provocation of cancerous tumors. Therefore, there are two targets - the lungs and the gastrointestinal tract,” said Anna Kurbatova, associate professor at the RUDN Institute of Ecology, candidate of biological sciences.
The cat did not have the knowledge of an assistant professor, and she did not know that she was dangerously poisoned, so she simply ran away. Most likely, she has already died. But they are still looking for her; the authorities have even stepped up patrols of the area due to fears that someone will find the furry one before them and decide to pet her. After this, nothing good awaits him. Therefore, the police and environmentalists are working as hard as they can, but the animal has not yet been found.
