Tourists erased breasts of Juliet's monument in Verona (2 photos + 1 video)
By the way, this is the second sculpture of Juliet that has been damaged by those who want to find love. 
In short, we won’t bore you. There is a belief among travel lovers that if you rub Juliet’s breasts in Verona (preferably the bronze copy of the statue, which is located in the courtyard on Via Cappello), you will definitely find your true love. Every year crowds of sufferers rub the treasured place at the unfortunate monument.
The tinder is so intense that a hole has formed on my right breast. The first Juliet had to be replaced due to the same reason in 2014, it was worn down to holes. 
The original statue of Juliet is in her home and was made by sculptor Nereo Costantini. After the first influx of tourists, it was decided to put Juliet out of harm’s way, and an exact copy was installed in its place, precisely so that Costantini’s work would not be damaged.
The municipality of Verona has not yet decided whether to repair the copy or replace it completely.
